Finances: The Easiest Way to Save – Seriously!

probably my favorite app on my phone…

Whenever I take financial advice from people I don’t know, I always take it with a grain of salt. Saving habits and investment habits are different for everyone because everyone is different. I found tons of financial advice from people on TikTok and although that’s great, I don’t know them. I don’t know if they are a risk taker or on the other hand, giving me affiliate advice – just so they can make a buck. So I did tons of research on my own, talked to my parents who have always been good with money, and found something that works for me. No literally, it does all the work for me. It’s so easy sometimes I forget that i’m saving so much money.

There’s an app I used called Qapital and I want to share it with you because it’s been a freaking life saver for us. You can use it for saving money or investing money. I have yet to invest anything because quite frankly, living in Los Angeles, we don’t have the money to invest, yet. But I am wearing out the soles on the savings side of the Qapital app in the best way possible. Saving money in a savings account is great and we do that for our emergency fund. But we have tons of other things we are saving for. For example, we are saving for a motorcycle, Christmas gifts, retirement, 1099 taxes, website renewal subscriptions, tithe, scheduled DMV vehicle renewals, the list goes on…

This app is one of the top 5 apps I would never delete from my phone. It’s only $3.00 a month and for a yearly price tag of $36.00, I have saved 138 times that amount. Jordan and I started using this app at the beginning of January 2019, so we’re coming up on using it for 2 full years and we’ve saved over $10,000, if not more.

If you think i’m trying to sell you on this app for personal gain, a while ago I would say yes, because at the time, Qapital was offering $20 for both you and I when you signed up and started saving. Now I don’t think they offer anything. I know for a fact I wouldn’t have been saving so successfully without this app. The reason is because Qapital has “rules” you set up for each “goal” of yours. So if you’re wanting to buy the Samsung “The Frame” 55″ TV (I want one so bad lol) then you can set that up as a goal and set up rules for it so you don’t have to think about saving for it anymore. And once you have saved up all the money for it, Qapital lets you know, and BAM! You just got yourself a new TV without thinking about it.

There are different rules like the Set & Forget, Payday, Round Up, Freelance, 52 Week Rule, and more. My personal favorite is the Set & Forget. This app has allowed us to buy fun stuff like The NuFace Microcurrent Devices to level up my skincare alongside the not fun stuff like taxes and Amazon Prime renewals.

If you get the app, i’d love to hear how you like it. It’s changed my world. Now I can focus on other things like scrolling on Pinterest wishing I lived in a concrete modern house. Maybe I should save for that too 😂.
